ExpertCare

This is a Verlinde Smartphone application that allows you to query and modify via WIF.

The simplicity of the tool that allows the display of information on your smartphone that runs on Android or iOS whilst the operator stays on the floor

This make access to the crane load condition monitoring unit makes it easier for user to get faster access to the data such as SWP calculation and General Overhaul.

Load Condition Monitoring Device

The condition monitoring devices we offer that give Load Indication and calculate the cranes Safe Working Period (SWP) and Design Working Period (DWP).

You will have a black box installed on the Crane which can be accessed on the MT unit or via app if you upgrade and have the Modem installed which allows you to connect to the SmartPhone.

Main Data and Report that the Condition Monitoring Unit records:

  • Overloads
  • Fault/Warning History
  • Load Indication
  • Overloads
  • Hoist DWP
  • Run Hours
  • Hoist Brake DWP%
  • Controls DWP%
  • ED% Duty Factor
  • Temperature Faults

Thermal Imaging

Electrical
Thermal imaging is a good means of carrying out an electrical inspection. This technique is used to find a potentially overloaded component or a loose connection.

The inspection will show any areas of weakness, as in a loose connection, overloads or phase imbalances etc.

Mechanical
Utilizing thermal imaging for an inspection of mechanical equipment has the great advantage of being able to carry out the inspection whilst the equipment is still running.

It can be used on endless components showing any areas of weakness, as in for example, friction wear on a bearing.

Oil Analysis

Proper lubrication is extremely important to maximise the lifespan and condition of components. In many cases, gear and bearing problems result from contaminated or insufficient oil.

Oil filter contamination could cause bearing failure and gear tooth damage. Insufficient lubrication causes metal-to-metal contact with abrasive wear as a result.

Oil analysis provides important information on wear modes and possible component lubrication problems. On the other hand, visual inspections of wear patterns and gear tooth pitting can reveal lubrication problems e.g. oil leakage or improper lubricants.

Crane Condition Monitoring

Laser Alignment

Shaft misalignment is responsible for up to 50% of breakdowns in rotating machinery.

Shaft misalignment can cause excessive vibrations and noise in the machinery and puts a greater load on the machine components and bearings which results in their excessive wear and tear.

You can call on ACDC Solutions for getting the right alignment services to minimize all its ill effects and keep your plant and machinery in a healthy condition.

Crane Condition Monitoring

Vibration Analysis

Vibration analysis is an effective technique for monitoring the condition of the gears and bearings and determining the root cause of machine failure.

Using vibration analysis on rotating machinery, enables the early detection of faults that lead to breakdowns.

We are able to carry out on-site vibration measurements detecting various sorts of gearing/ shaft problems:

  • Gear damage (e.g. scoring, abrasive wear)
  • Bearing defects (cage fractures, inner/outer ring damage)
  • Alignment errors
  • Looseness
  • Imbalance
  • Resonance areas

Vibration analysis can be conducted whilst your equipment is working under normal operations. Any problems will show immediately allowing yourselves time to schedule maintenance at a time convenient for your business.
